Gracious Summer

Mon Jul 14, 2008, 12:57 PM
Relaxing by the lake, sitting around a fire with high spirits and low attention spans from the heat & day's fullness. Nothing seems to repeat in a mundane, winter-like routine, ever-changing we wait for the night breeze to cool our sweaty, tired brows.

Once in awhile, I have a chance to become vertical for more than a few minutes and sink into suspended animation after a busy day. To hike, hit the hammock, go for a swim & to the mountains. We are in awe of the soaring fireflies; and overcome with pride and obedience to the contentment of the moment within which one can seek and find closer connections... to the essentials.

Hope everybody out there is enjoying the season,

J

Synchronicity II

Tue Apr 8, 2008, 2:42 AM
Key to the Highway

Synchronicity is to me what helps us get down life's busy race track. Along the way, folks are there to help and give us the potential we need to reach our aims.

Collectively we can do a lot of great things to help parts of the world where the government has forgotten its role as protector of the people. Here the governments have exploited innocent men, women, and children and they need our help to get on track.

Sounds like regime change but in a whole new way, given to the aims of corporations, empires, media conglomerates, etc the average person feels very small. Together, however, there is so much we can still do to kick things into gear. Even a small act can have a greater effect than we know so keep up the good work

Synchronicity

Key to the Highway

Lots of great inspiration around these days to create and to see the world with a perspective that resounds with this remarkable clarity.

Maybe things aren't as bad as they say, maybe we're still rooted and on an amazing journey into areas & regions where no hope exists.

Need for aid to our own country and other parts of the world has never been greater, we must keep our outlook to help transform ourselves to see life as we know it and our place in it. We can make a difference.

The thing of it is, we can't stand in the same place too long, yet there is a saying that the blues don't change. Here it is spring, and we're mired deep down in the muddy blues of our cognizant existence. For what? I think that a remarkable synchronicity is happening, what's more, its ever-happening.

The message is clear, nothing will ever be the same in terms of our own experiences, but we'll (for those of us that subscribe) continue to carry on our wanderlust, our passion for whatever it is that keeps us planted on a planet that's beautiful at times and at others can be bleak. Just create what you will and send those diamond sutras out into the great beyond. Cut through the illusions and synchronize.

likened to the mtns..

up in the hills

"Work of this kind is like a human being. What is it, whence does it come, where is it going, and why, and when, and who will know it? Work like this something alive, and full of unknowables, and it abides even as you do not know this is what it is.

So I console myself, saying, do not ask me what this book is, whence it came, why it came, and for what purpose, do not point out its imperfections, gaucheries, crudeness -- rather, you might just as well say to me, looking at me in the eyes: -- "What are you, whence came you, why, and for what crude imperfect purpose?"--- Jack Kerouac

and so begins another crude artistic season here in the Western Maine Foothills...

may it be imperfectly satisfying and good..

No Easy Task

Who feels it..

Composing the elements of my art, my breath, my footsteps, my actions all combine to create my sensitivity for the visual aspects of what I see and how I wish to convey moods in my work.

Well, as most people are recharging their batteries after a long winter, I find myself heading in the direction of loosening the creative energy that's been stored over the past few months.

Look for more paintings in the near future
